Door-to-Door Health Services for Seniors and Disabled

In a pioneering move to ensure healthcare reaches every citizen, Sharada Municipality has launched door-to-door health services for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The initiative is part of the municipality’s ongoing commitment to inclusive and accessible public services.
Mayor Prakash Bhandari highlighted the importance of the program, saying, “Healthcare is a basic right, not a privilege. Through this initiative, we aim to provide essential medical services to those who find it difficult to visit hospitals or clinics.”
Under this program, trained health workers will visit homes to conduct health check-ups, distribute medicines, and provide counseling. Special attention will be given to chronic illnesses, mobility issues, and preventive care.
Residents have expressed gratitude, noting that the program will reduce travel burdens and healthcare expenses, while promoting overall community well-being.
The municipality plans to expand this initiative in the coming months, ensuring every vulnerable citizen has access to timely medical care.
